A"maze"ing Race
Ahoy castaways! Come on in!
First and foremost, congratulations on making it past the pick 'em. It's quite an honor to have made it through that portion of the game, but now it's time for our first tribal immunity challenge!
Babe Ruth once said, "The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don't play together, the club won't be worth a dime."
That quote is very true. In this challenge, we will test how well you work as a team. Your tribe must be very quick in this challenge. However, it is also important that you are able to think smart under tough circumstances.
Here is how this challenge works:
Scattered throughout a maze are eight are pieces of wood, each of which have a number posted on them. Each tribe member can retrieve only ONE piece! You do not have to retrieve them in numerical order, but all the pieces must be retrieved by the end of the challenge. Your job as a tribe is to navigate the maze, untie the pieces of wood, and exit the maze as fast as you can. However, there will be a two minute time limit between posts! If you do not abide by this rule, you will have to start over! Since there are only eight pieces of wood, one member of your tribe will not have to compete and will be sitting out. Here is an example of how to navigate the maze:
(Survivor) enters maze
(Waits two minutes)
(Survivor) goes right
(Waits two minutes)
(Survivor) goes down
(Waits two minutes)
(Survivor) goes left
Obviously, you will use the common directions (left, right, up, and down) to navigate yourself to one of the pieces of wood. Once you reach your number, you must post like this:
[Survivor] unties piece number [number of piece]
Once you have untied the piece, you must then navigate your way back to the exit using the same common directions.
Now for the second part of the challenge. Once you exit, you must put your piece of wood in the correct column. For example:
[Survivor] puts piece number ten in the tenth column.
Obviously, your going to put the number you retrieved in the corresponding column. Once all eight pieces are put in their correct column, the pieces will, in essence, form a ladder. After all eight pieces are in, anyone from the tribe must climb the ladder. They will post like this:
[Survivor] climbs the first step
(Waits two minutes)
[Survivor] climbs the second step
.............
.............
.............
..cont'd..
.............
.............
.............
[Survivor] climbs the eighth step
(Waits two minutes)
[Survivor] reaches the top and climbs onto the platform
(Waits two minutes)
[TRIBE NAME] WINS IMMUNITY!!!!
This challenge may seem complicated and difficult, but it really isn't. Don't make it harder than it is. Before I let you go and introduce you to the maze, there are a few hints you might want to think about. First, know your route and keep track with where you are. Getting lost or accidentally attempting to retrieve a piece that has already been retrieved could cost you. Also, make sure you obey the time limit. Having to start over because of screwing up the time would be terrible. And the last piece of advice I can give you is to put your piece in the corresponding column when you exit the maze. Even if you retrieve the eighth piece and the first seven haven't been retrieved, it's okay to go ahead and put your piece in the correct column.
That being said, immunity is now up for grabs!! Good luck everyone!
